JANUARY 1ST TARIFF INCREASE POSTPONED
On December 1, it was announced President Trump has agreed to suspend the tariff increase scheduled to take effect on January 1 for a period of at least 90 days.
The planned increase would have raised tariffs from 10% to 25% on nearly $200 billion worth of goods imported from China.
The postponement comes after President Trump met with President Xi of China on Saturday in Argentina during the G-20 Summit.
While the 10% tariffs imposed earlier this year remain in place, the current 90-day deferral will allow trade talks with China to continue.
Because Dayton Superior is committed to continually and closely monitoring this ongoing situation and the effect on customers, we will continue to update this page as additional information becomes available.
